Topic/Focus: Following almost two years of inactivity, Project 6 was to be the deciding factor for the future of "The Project". This edition, which featured the talents of both returning and new authors and artists, was a literary and artistic study of Artificial Intelligence. Had there been little or no interest in this edition, it is almost certain that "The Project" would have faded into obscurity. As you may imagine after noting the above list, participation was less a problem than finding time to enjoy each and every piece submitted to this edition! The question of whether "The Project" would continue to exist had been answered in overwhelming fashion. Project 6 was also the first edition after the unveiling of Elfwood's Moderator's Choice recognition policy. Five of the stories written for this edition earned Moderator's Choice awards and are marked above with [gold] ID numbers, even though some are no longer posted at Elfwood. This edition remains as one of the most memorable for members of The Herscher Project, and the mere mention of it is often met with exclamations of, "Man, that was fun!" |
